The IRTG 2235 ran as a joint research programme established by the Faculty of Mathematics at Bielefeld University, Germany, and the Department of Mathematical Sciences at Seoul National University, South Korea. In a truly international and competitive environment, doctoral students study singular and random systems.
The IRTG in Bielefeld was funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) during two funding periods (2016–2021 and 2021–2025) and ended in September 2025.
